How to make your marriage better

When you have been married for awhile, you end up doing the same old thing. You start taking each other for granted. Your relationship status becomes the same thing. You have to spice it up, to keep the love alive. That's why you need to go on weekly, or at the very least monthly dates.
Even though you are living together, having many responsibilities, you must take time out of your hectic daily lives, to reconnect with your marriage partner.

Remember all those fun, thrilling dates you had when you were courting? Well going on dates with your spouse will make you feel like a giggly teenager again. Okay that's a stretch, but I promise it will make you feel renewed and happy. If not, then you need marriage counseling.

Going out on weekly dates when you are married gives the two of you time to reconnect away from home. You will be doing something different from watching the same old boring television programs. You will have time to spend with each other. Sometimes you need that time away from the sameness of home life. You certainly need time away from the stresses of home life when you have small children at home. Small kids usually demand constant attention with diaper changing, and "Mom look at me." Therefore you need to get away from it all to bring back the bond that brought you together in the first place.

Try to get away from it all at least once a month married couples! Dine out, go to a play, a movie, even going for a walk while the kids are being babysat by an adult will renew your love, and possibly even your passion. When you truly can't afford to go out for a night on the town, just try to do something different. Put the kids to bed early. Turn off the blathering idiot box. Turn your attention to your spouse. Do not do like my husband does, and hide behind a computer screen. Sit outside together on a warm sparkling night. Sit together on the couch enjoying cuddle time.

Put the effort into your marriage, ensuring a long lasting, loving relationship. By all means don't talk about finances while cuddling, or household chores. Talk to each other about each other, your dreams, something funny that happened during the day.Remember with half of American marriages ending up in divorce court, you can help raise the statistics. Five ways to celebrate being shy; living life to the fullest as an introvert by Kate Johns

As Paula Abdul said many times on American Idol. "Stay true to yourself."
Living with shyness can be a life filled with wonderful opportunities--- love, family, fun and  having a great job. You do not have to act like being shy is the worst thing in the world. You just have to live life to the fullest and enjoy being who you really are. After all people who are obnoxious do not worry about their character traits, living life hiding how obnoxious they are.

Five ways to celebrate being shy and truly live life to the fullest:

1. Realize that you are shy, and that’s the way you will always be. Feel proud that you are shy. There are millions of shy people in this world, so you are not alone. Start a group of introverted people online. People who have illnesses, diseases, and who are certain personality types live every day to the fullest. You can too!

2. If you are uncomfortable with being shy, then take steps to become more of an extrovert. Take courses and read books learning the steps to becoming less shy. If you are truly uncomfortable with stepping out of your shyness, take small steps to becoming less shy. Hang out at traditionally shy-people places such as libraries, small social gatherings, and lectures. You will be out of your home, with other people, enjoying what you like to do.

3. Work at a job you really want to work at. Work at a job that you will feel comfortable with. Many shy people choose careers working at what they love such as book writers, engineers, animators, and artists. By working at a career you love, you will have something in common with other people. You will have a common denominator to share with other people, making for interesting conversation.

4. Usually shy people are more introverted than people who aren’t shy (extroverts). Just because society has classified you into a category, does not mean you have to suffer. Enjoy your shyness. You do not have to have a large crowd surrounding you. Do what you want to do. Go to movies with one friend, not ten. Make two or three really good friends, not 25 more distant friends. Go to cafes, instead of large restaurants. Bring a book or a magazine to read, making you feel more comfortable.

5. Celebrate being shy by joining in on a shy person's activities. Shy people usually have a more difficult time than those extroverts in talking face to face with people. You can still talk to people by using the Internet. Make thousands of new friends by friending them on Facebook, Twitter, and by utilizing e-mail. Become more independent by going for walks, going to small restaurants, and by going to museums, and malls alone. Invite a friend or two to activities you enjoy such as playing video games, taking care of animals, or watching movies or plays.

The key to living life to the fullest as a shy person is to enjoy who you really are. Being shy is not a disease. Even though society may treat you as though you have a problem because you are introverted, that does not mean that you have to live life like you are expected to. After all, every kind of person is celebrated in society, so hold your head up high, and enjoy being who you really are.

How to get more enjoyment out of life

How can you get more enjoyment out of life?

Being an adult can be incredibly boring. Sitting at the same traffic light you sit at every morning on your way to work. Sitting at a computer everyday typing articles to make a living. Standing in line at the grocery store, while that little old lady in front of you counts her endless supply of pennies for the tenth time.
If you're feeling as numb as the Edge in the U2 video for the song , " Numb." Even if someone messes with you and it doesn't affect you, then it's time to do something about it. It's time to get some enjoyment out of life.

It's time to do something different-to make a major change or to make small changes that make you  feel better about yourself. You don't even have to take an expensive vacation to get away from it all-because it's still going to be there when you get back.

Get in touch with your inner child.  Maybe you already act like a little kid every day, and every day is a creative, wild ride for you. Maybe you act so adult every day, you've become a stuffy old person that I'm sorry to say, "Everyone finds boring." Don't argue with me either, because I'm not taking , "No," for an answer. Who cares if you're eighty or if you're thirteen and act like you're fifty. It's time to get up and shake that thing.

And I mean that quite literally-turn on some music and dance-if you can without breaking something. Sit in a chair and listen to music that makes you happy. Take 15 minutes, an hour, or maybe even an entire day an act like a kid again. The housework, the bills, and the grocery shopping can wait . If you don't remember how to do this, just think back to when you were young and what was really fun for you.
Okay if you can't think back that far by stepping out of the norm, and having some fun, then get on the floor with your children, grandkids, nieces, nephews, or another adult  who is willing to have some fun. And I'm talking about real kid stuff here. There's no cheating here-so no you can't play poker, or spin the bottle, or buy a new car, or get your hair colored.

Color in a coloring book, or play a video game, or jacks again, or hopscotch, or blow bubbles. Slide down the slide at an amusement park, and yell your head off like you're ten again. Read a kid's book-like one of the Harry Potter books. Read the Cat in the Hat books and challenge yourself to talk in rhyme for an entire hour. Laugh out loud about something silly. If all else fails, watch the movie, "Big", with Tom Hanks and laugh until you cry!

Other adults will probably think you're crazy for enjoying yourself, or your children will say-"Mom's lost it." Then turn around, with your crayons in hand, and say, "Oh grow up."
